CamelPhat & Elderbrook's now global track started no different from any of their other tracks, an underground record, the Liverpool duo not knowing just how big it would become. Mike who makes up one half of CamelPhat told Skiddle "When we made it we didn't really think that much of it, it took four months to get signed but once it did it sky rocketed". The track originally debuted on Danny Howard's BBC Radio 1 hottest record in the world in June this year, Dave who completes the other half of CamelPhat spoke to Danny, telling him the track was made in two or three hours after a lucky last minute meeting with Elderbrook in the studio. On 23rd of June 'Cola' was officialy released.

'Cola' was soon picked up by tastemaker DJs all over the world, and within one week of release became #1 on both Beatport and Traxsource. The track became an instant Ibiza anthem spending the majority of the season as the #1 most shazamed track on the White Isle. 'Cola' became the most anticipated track of the night during our residency at Eden with this video of Sam Divine dropping it going viral on our Facebook page, we knew we had a special track on our hands.

As the track grew we drafted in one of the most in demand producers around at the moment to give his take on 'Cola'. Franky Rizardo's remix was an instant success, drawing one of the best reactions from Defected Croatia in the previous month August. On the 1st of September the remix was officialy released and also reached the #1 spot on Beatport, at one point the original and Franky's remix occupied the top 2 spots in the Beatport house chart and both featured in the overall top 10. The big news continued on the 27th when 'Cola' was voted track of the year 2017 at the Ibiza awards during their 20th anniversary year. The month ended with a BBC Radio 1 playlist add on the 29th meaning more day airtime and bringing the track to a new audience. The story of 'Cola' continued.
