FAITH FANZINE AUTUMN/WINTER 22/23
House music frequently operates within its own microclimate, and arguably therein lays not only its beauty, but also the key to its longevity. And let's face it, in this dispiriting 24-hour rolling newsreel of a world in which we now live, that urge to be part of a secret society, that ability to escape to a better place, remains irresistible.
There are times when we still poke our head over the parapet to sniff the air in the wider music-verse, conscious that we have valuable knowledge to share. Every so often, a superstar looks our way for an injection of cultural je ne sais quoi and borrows the keys to the magic kingdom. And now and again, the whole kit and caboodle benefits from a bit of a shake-up.
Enter stage left Channel Tres.
FAITH FANZINE SUMMER 22
Louie Vega is an undisputed kingpin of house music as DJ, producer, broadcaster, bandleader, club runner – and of course one half of the legendary Masters at Work alongside Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez. So, when he touched down in London recently, Faith grabbed the opportunity to meet with this most inspirational figure of our scene.
We are honoured that he agreed to front our Summer issue.
Inside our Louie issue you'll find interviews with our new best friend Bobby Gillespie, Hercules & Love Affair's Andy Butler, French disco pioneer Cerrone, Luke Solomon and a feature on the notorious Sabresonic parties and much more.
Additionally our deep dive location feature is Ibiza; From the early hippy discoveries and Balearic adventures to infamous DC10 escapades, tales of the Space terrace.
