Defected nominated in five categories at the annual dance music-orientated awards.

One of the most anticipated annual events on the global music calendar (and the only longstanding awards event dedicated to the dance music industry), the IDMAs generate over two million votes from music enthusiasts in 206 countries and territories every year to recognize and honor exceptional achievements in 56 award categories.

The categories take in a broad range of dance music – including best compilation, best producer and best record label – and also have a section dedicated to music-related software, which includes best headphones and best club soundsystem.

Defected have been nominated in five categories – best underground dance track, best house/garage/deep House track, best compilation, best global label and best promoter/in-house exec (for Simon Dunmore).

Pirupa’s Party-Non Stop gets a nod in the best underground dance track category, while we have three nominations in the category of best house/garage/deep House track; Yousef Beg (Hot Since 82 Remix) and Nick Curly - Underground (Dennis Ferrer Remix).

There are also two Defected nominations in the category of best compilation, for Defected Most Rated 2012 and Defected Most Rated Miami 2012.
