Jaden Thompson’s light has been burning bright over the last twelve months, with releases on impressive imprints like The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin’ Headz, Archie Hamilton’s Moscow Records and Amsterdam cool kids PIV, showcasing his unique, club-ready style. Holding down a pre-lockdown residency at London’s fabric nightclub, his forward-thinking productions are created with the dancefloor in mind. Now he makes his debut on Classic Music Company, a goal for the burgeoning talent since his first forays into music, with three track EP ‘To The Light’. The title track, with its warm synths and gloriously deep bassline makes for a captivating introduction, before his industrial, electrifying cut ‘My Way’ follows. Closing out the release, the bumpy goodness of ‘Bloom’ brims with summertime energy, a whirlpool of melodic effects and soft synth tones. Nailing the rolling, bubbling house sound championed by Jaden and his contemporaries with real finesse, this Classic Music Company debut may be tailored for club play, but it’s soaked in a sunny groove that makes it just as enjoyable for solo listening.
