The D-Cup remix of Jean-Jacques Smoothie’s seminal ‘2 People’ has started its second week atop the Beatport Indie Dance/Nu-Disco chart.
Fending off stiff competition from the likes of Aeroplane, Cassius and Beniot & Sergio, the continued dominance of the D-Cup remix shows what a superb job the Australian producer – famed for his collaboration with Yolanda Be Cool earlier this year – has done with his reimagining of the original hit record.
D-Cup isn't the only producer to breathe life into the record however. From the twisted indie dance stylings of DCUP, to the bass-heavy funk of Louis la Roche, soaring strings and synths of Simpleton and looped disco twists of Olav Basoski, there’s enough infectious dancefloor action to suit everyone’s palette.
