After another explosive year packed full of events, Defected still has plenty of juice left to see you through to the New Year. To save you time searching, we've put together a round up of our upcoming parties below - find out where you can catch an unforgettable night of music, no matter where you are in the world.
Next week we are travelling to the far reaches of the world for our epic Australasian tour. The celebration, running from the 28th October to the 6th November, will bring together Defected favourites Ferreck Dawn, Mike Dunn, Riva Starr, and Sam Divine to host an epic takeover down-under. Shows are currently sold out in Sydney and Auckland, but tickets remain for Sydney’s afterparty, as well as Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Bali.
For something a little closer to home, Glitterbox is bringing the confetti to Ministry of Sound twice before the year is out. The first opportunity to catch us at the iconic London venue is the 5th November with favourites Melvo Baptiste, New York's Anna Collecta, Melon Bomb and the Parisian project Art of Tones. Following that, there’s not long to wait until our return on the 3rd December where the likes of Dave Lee ZR, Jamie 3:26, and Riva Starr and many others promise to fill the venue with some of the best music the scene has to offer. As winter brings its icy chill to the UK, we escape to South Africa with parties promising to bring the heat this 15th-18th December. Glitterbox and Defected nights kick things off in Cape Town, before the party moves up to Johannesburg with Defected and Sondela. We are bringing with us Ibiza favourite Andy Baxter, as well as Louie Dunmore, Sam Divine, and founder Simon Dunmore for an unmissable night. A Sondela takeover shakes things up in Johannesburg with an eclectic mix of Afro-house; music from the likes of Fanzo, FKA Mash and Karyendasol will celebrate all that South Africa has to offer.
Finishing the year off in style is always on our mind here at Defected, and with two New Year celebrations, expect nothing but dancefloor anthems, our line-up of world-class DJs and iconic crew of performers. Taking place at London's Printworks, our parties will be some of the last the building will see before closing for major refurbishments. Rest assured, we will keep the memory of Printworks alive as we close out 2022 with a New Year’s Eve party like no other, before Glitterbox's New Year’s Day party jump starts your 2023!
