Addison Groove will release first album Transistor Rhythm this March.
Groove, the largely Chicago ‘juke’-inspired alias of producer Antony Williams, offers up 13 previously unreleased cuts via his new record; listeners can expect a raucous collision of sharp, undecorated drum beats, acid b-lines and hip-hop flow. Transistor Rhythm is named after Williams’ Transistor label but will be released via Modeselektor imprint 50 Weapons.
Addison Groove’s first single emerged last year, the hugely popular, footwork-driven Footcrab. Before then, Williams made his bass-y name as Headhunter, pushing material via labels such as Tempa and Tectonic.
Transistor Rhythm will be released on March 30 as CD, digital download and limited edition vinyl.
