BPitch Control boss Ellen Allien will release – as indicated in last week’s interview – a new label compilation at the start of April.
Where The Wind Blows aims to flag BPitch’s ever broadening spectrum of influences; there are several new cuts from label stalwarts such as Kiki, Aerea Negrot, Chaim, Apparat, Dillon and Allien herself. Other artists involved include David K, Camea, Eating Snow and Thomas Muller.
BPitch has been around for over 10 years now, pushing everything from cutting techno and house to leftfield disco, folk-pop and even cabaret.
Where The Wind Blows, released on April 1, follows the release of Allien’s new soundtrack album LISm late this month; separately, Allien hosts a label showcase, A Day With...BPitch Control, in London on May 5 – details at www.londonelectronic.net.
