Former Culture Clubber Boy George is back on the music map with a new dance track Amazing Grace set for release this spring.
Penned by George alongside John Themis and Roland Faber, and produced and mixed by former cohort Kinky Roland, the single will appear on Decode Records, a new subsidiary of renowned soulful-house imprint MN2S. It features George’s vocals and those of acclaimed Portuguese singer Ana Lains, as well as remixes by Sharp Boys, Filo & Peri and Mac & Taylor. A further acoustic version features Jamiroquai’s Rob Harris on guitar.
Amazing Grace is released March 22, preceding an 11-date solo tour of the UK on which George will perform some of his greatest hits. A spokesman for MN2S commented: “It’s great to be releasing music from such a seminal and iconic artist; we’ve never experienced such a buzz on a single before.”
