Whether it’s working with Louie Vega, Kerri Chandler or Frankie Knuckles, Arnold Jarvis is without doubt one of the most recognisable vocalists in the history of house music. His compelling and soulful tone has become somewhat of a staple in countless DJs' sets over the years, sounding as fresh now as it did 20 years ago.
Arnold kick-started his career back in 1987 with the timeless classic ‘Take Some Time Out’ on Fourth Floor Records, the year that iconic label was formed. The track has more than stood the test of time and we are honoured to be re-issuing this crucial release on limited vinyl, with an exclusive remix from Ilija Rudman accompanying the original Club and Dub mixes.
We are also excited to announce that Arnold Jarvis will be making his long overdue debut on Defected next month, featuring on a new track by the equally legendary Benji Candelario, someone he famously collaborated with back in 2000 on ‘Learn To Give’. Fast forward to 2016, Benji Candelario has delivered a thumping track called 'Higher', which accompanied by the soothing vocals of both Jarvis and Nina Lares, makes it an instantly classic sounding piece of music fit for any dancefloor.
