Exuberant Toronto house quartet Azari & III has masterminded the latest – 13th – instalment of Get Physical’s highly reputable Body Language mix album series.
It is actually Azari men Alixander III and Dinamo Azari – the quartet’s original founder members – who provide Body Language Vol 13’s two mixes – one disc each. Both expectedly serve feisty slices of techno, including cuts from Planetary Assault Systems, Shed, Tommy Four Seven, Samo DJ and Plastikman, but there is also room for looser, deeper and funkier workouts from the likes of Scuba, Daphni (AKA Caribou’s Dan Snaith), DJ Harvey (as hippy-fied Eighties house alias Locussolus) and psychedelic synth-devotee Jahiliyya Fields. There are also two new tracks from Dinamo Azari himself (In A Vacuum and, alongside Hugues St Amour, 3rd Bi-Annual M-nority Report) as well as last year’s Azari & III number Change Of Heart.
Get Physical releases Azari & III Presents - Body Language Vol 13 as a download on September 27 and double-CD on October 18.
