Azuli was one of just a handfull of labels ultimately credited with the growth of House music in the UK during the mid to late 90s. Azuli built a sound reputation for presenting quality House music with every release, and as a result their events were usually hugely over-subscribed, the success of which led Azuli to becoming a formidable force in Ibiza, hosting Fridays at Space and their infamous secret beach parties. In London meanwhile, they were a constant presence at The Cross, the former legendary underground venue now awarded cult status.
It was the label that brought us some of dance music’s best known classics like Bini & Martini ‘Happiness’ and Afro Medusa ‘Pasilda’ and boasts artists ranging from David Morales to Andy Cato (Groove Armada) and Fatboy Slim.

Now, the label has been refuelled. Newly appointed Head of A&R Ricky Rivaro has been working the club and DJ scene in his native Holland for years, and now brings his wealth of experience and unsurpassed enthusiasm to the fold, and with exciting album projects and singles already in the pipeline, 2011 looks set to re-establish Azuli as a force to be reckoned with on the global dance map.
Sifting through the world’s best house records to find the future dance floor hits is a big responsibility" said Rivaro of the appointment. "I thank Simon Dunmore for this opportunity and his belief in me. To join Aaron Ross and Andy Daniell as a fellow A&R is a great honor and together we will be a formidable team."
The immediate release is the next in the respected Global Guide series, a series that has a concrete reputation of bringing us a razor-sharp selection of upfront cuts.
