Following the release of Bargrooves Summer Sessions II, Bargrooves extends its summer vacation with the release of Ibiza Beach Party, an exclusive digital format addition to the celebrated boutique music series.
For many, Ibiza represents their ultimate beach party destination! As people are dancing in the sunshine, heading to the coast to party on the beach or heading off to a cool poolside, what better way to celebrate the sound of this summer’s hedonism than with an easy-on-the-wallet package of essential summer tunes?
All the tracks are available separately but it’s really in the mix that Bargrooves’ mix DJ Andy Daniell captures that non-stop party feeling. Mixing up the classic Love & Happiness club mix with its full length exotic intro into the Colombian-folk, tropical Latin odyssey that is La Mezcla, Andy takes us on a Balearic beach ride which then takes a soulful Latin turn into the Rasmus Faber mix of Thick Dick’s Insatiable and the DJ Chus and David Penn mix of Lenny Fontana’s The Way. The Funkagenda mix of Guitarra G takes the classic Balearic guitar track into a big room (or in this case a big beach) environment, with Bobby Blanco’s percussive re-edit of Don’t Lose The Magic and David Penn’s rub of It’s Yours keep the temperature up.
Whilst keeping the soulful theme, Andy goes for some slightly tougher house flavours from Wahoo’s mix of the cheeky Shake Dat Booty to Tekin’s Wait Forever, then in the true Bargrooves tradition, there’s always room for that final classic moment at the end of the mix and we draw this Ibiza Beach Party to a close with the Soft Dub from Logic’s Blues For You.
Smaller but nevertheless perfectly formed, the Bargrooves holiday continues with this new summer taster.
