John Digweed will bring his legendary Bedrock club night back to London, on a regular basis, from early next month.

The original Bedrock residency launched in 1998 at London’s iconic Heaven nightspot and ran there for six years before gradually migrating, in tough economic conditions, to one-off specials at various venues around the world. The party became a byword for quality progressive house.

Bedrock now reverts back to a monthly frequency; taking place at London’s XOYO venue on the first Thursday of every month. The first shindig is February 2, Digweed helming the main room whilst fellow resident jozif – the London-based house producer with links to InFine and Wolf + Lamb – plays the second. The pair will continue to headline throughout the year, Bedrock’s emphasis being on residents rather than special guests.

“I’ve always had residencies, whether it was Twilo or the early Bedrock parties, I've always had something where I play at the same place every month” Digweed explains. “I looked at the venue [XOYO], and it’s perfect for what I want to do. I want something low key but with that excitement factor about it.”
