Hola!

This week I have mainly been grieving at the thought that I only have 1 month left on The Party Isle. Aside from that, I have been trying to decide whether I am in the Swedish House Mafia Mania camp or a full-blown Cadenza Cadette…two very different parties but equally as popular (almost unbearably in peak season!). Musically, Cadenza will always be my favourite but there is something about the Swedes party that is just ridiculously fun! Axwell attracted 2000 fans up to Mambo on Monday but then Reboot on Sunday at Mambo was a fantastic party, leading on to Pacha and finally leading me to Luciano playing the last set…amazing! However, he loses points for turning the men of Ibiza into black eyeliner-wearing experimentalists. I’m really not into this look thank you very much! But then Steve Angello decided copying his makeup wasn’t quite enough and decided to make masks of his face for the whole Island instead! Steve Angello did come and party with us in the booth on Saturday though so some Swede points earned there! Oh decisions!

I have also been feeding my pizza addiction (who says no one eats in Ibiza!). I’ve become a bit of a connoisseur on the subject and have worked out what pizzas feed my different kinds of hunger. It has to be a deep, cheap takeaway pizza for the end of a weekends partying, a ‘David’s’ special meal deal offer (starter, pizza/pasta, dessert and drink for €12.50) for mid-week dining out with friends in San An, when you only intend on having that one meal for the day. Let’s call it a pre-party pizza! And then for an extra special meal out in the evening whilst looking out at the sunset, it has to be my new favourite pizza place ‘Mint’ on the sunset strip. Imperfect, circular, thin crust, oven baked pizzas; the best must be the Sunset Pizza topped with chillies, ham and –  a topping I have never experienced before – mango! A bit like a posher pineapple alternative…genius! On a sadder note, all this pizza eating has made me a little thicker round the waist, but it’s well worth it!

One last thing, one of my proudest personal moments so far....Toby Anstis finally accepted my friend request on Facebook ;) My accomplice Anna also had a brush with fame when she was stood on the Pacha terrace and turned to me and said “it’s the guy from Lost!” I don’t watch Lost but I think she was referring to ‘that’ hot guy with the brown hair so with my camera at the ready I went over and mumbled about getting a picture for her. It wasn’t him at all and now she keeps seeing him everywhere she goes and she sinks into the floor a little more each time. He he he!

And now to September and it’s party time..while we still can!!
