Revered German techno-classical fusionists Brandt Brauer Frick have confirmed the release of a new studio album in the spring.
Miami follows previous long-players Mr Machine (last year) and You Make Me Real (2010) and promises even greater creative spontaneity and darker, edgier musical textures. It is also the work of core trio Daniel Brandt, Jan Brauer and Paul Frick rather than the wider 11-person ‘Ensemble’.
Miami features major guests, of course, including Nina Kraviz, former Einsturzende Neubauten member Gudrun Gut and Brit soul singer-songwriter Jamie Lidell. It is thought that the album’s release, in March, will be accompanied by a new live show.
Miami is released by !K7 on March 19, 2013.
