Chicago house hero Curtis Jones will play a special one-off show in London next month, facing off his two best known aliases – Cajmere and Green Velvet.
The party, hosted by London promoters Random Magic, is scheduled for 3 May (10pm to 6am) at south London hotspot Fire: London . Jones will play main room sets as both deep house persona Cajmere and flamboyant electro-punked alternative Green Velvet whilst support lands from Luke Solomon and Neville Watson, playing ‘back to back’, and Nonplus chief Boddika.
A second room, co-hosted by Hertfordshire’s boutique electronic Farr Festival, promises forward-thinking, bass-heavy appearances by South London Ordnance and October. Farr’s main gathering runs July 18-20 in deserted woodland close to the village of Newnham, Hertfordshire. Artists booked include Hercules And Love Affair, Robert Owens, Bicep, Scuba, Andrew Weatherall, Kim Ann Foxman and Tom Trago.
