Carl Craig is poised to compile the next album in the 'Masterpiece' series for Ministry of Sound.
The Detroit master will drop three discs for the release, each with a different modus operandi.
The first will be a disc of tracks that Craig 'is listening to and has been inspired by', so presumably something of an eclectic mix of old and new tracks. The next disc will be devoted to the tracks he is currently playing in clubs.
Meanwhile, the final disc will be one of new compositions made exclusively for the album, using various modular synths.
Craig follows the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Gilles Peterson, Fabio & Grooverider and Francois K in crafting an album for the respected series.
No details yet on the specifics of the track-list, but a release date is slated for May 27.
