Detroit legend Carl Craig has confirmed track selections for his eagerly awaited contribution to Ministry Of Sound’s Masterpiece compilation series.
Masterpiece By Carl Craig spans three discs and features exclusive Craig material, as well as a variety of classic and contemporary Detroit workouts, and some of Craig’s earliest, formative influences. Disc one, Aspiration, mixes young bloods Loco Dice, Tom Trago, Huxley and Ben Sims with comparative veterans Kyle Hall, Moodymann and The Egyptian Lover. Disc Two, Inspiration, tackles Craig’s historic influences - everyone from The Temptations and Muddy Waters to Erykah Badu and jazz chanteuse Melody Gardot via E-Dancer (AKA Kevin Saunderson), Derrick May and film director David Lynch. The third and final disc, Meditation, features six previously unreleased Craig productions (Mediation 1 through to Meditation 6).
Masterpiece By Carl Craig is released by Ministry Of Sound on June 24.
