US house kingpin Kerri Chandler has been confirmed to headline this summer’s one-day Eastern Electrics festival.

The festival returns to Hertfordshire, taking up residence within the grounds of Hatfield House – last year, it resided at nearby stately pile Knebworth House.  Running from 11am to 10pm, Eastern Electrics promises over 30 major DJs and live performers.  Chandler, is one of six names currently confirmed; the others are Ellen Allien, tINI, Tania Vulcano, Route 94 and Art Department.  Stages are promised from the likes of mulletover, Rinse and Kubicle.

“We are going back to the one-day format...which will mean people don’t have the commit to the whole weekend, but will still retain the same number of stages and all other non-musical entertainment from last year” co-founder Rob Star commented last month “There’s been a few changes at the top, we have new investors on board and have partnered with an experienced production company to ensure that this is the best edition of Eastern Electrics since we started back in 2007.  We have a new site to unveil, which is absolutely stunning and that we hope will be our home for many years.”

Further names and event details will be unveiled in the coming weeks.  Check http://easternelectricsfestival.co.uk/
