Body & Soul grandee Joaqiun ‘Joe’ Claussell will play the fourth instalment of Need2Soul and Birdsong’s ‘A Private Party With...’ event series in London.
Scheduled for February 28 at an as yet undisclosed venue (10pm to 5am), Claussell’s session follows those with Francois K (in an office block basement), Derrick Carter (in a photographic studio) and both Kerri Chandler and Ron Trent (stripped back warehouse). Claussell, playing without support DJs, is expected to select a characteristically wide mix of house, disco, soul and leftfield.
The secret venue, in East London, promises everything from UREI mixers and Dope Real isolators to a Turbo sound system and wooden dance floor.
