Jamie Lidell has completed his fourth album.
Called Compass, it will be released through Warp Records on May 17.
And as ever, the eccentric British soulster will be working with old pals Feist and Gonzales, while the album was recorded at Beck's Hudson Studios in Los Angeles.
"I wrote every song in a month" he says. "It’s been an emotional couple of years, so I tapped into what I wanted to say and started writing. There was a lot to draw on.'
