In less than two weeks on Tuesday 09 June, MK, Oliver Dollar, Noir, Sonny Fodera, Sam Divine, Franky Rizardo and Simon Dunmore play the Terrace at the Defected In The House & Together Opening Party at Amnesia. Here, we look ahead to what promises to be an electrifying start to the season and profile some of the DJs playing on the night.

Amnesia is an Ibiza institution: a venue that epitomizes the soul and history of the island, and a brand that has become synonymous with sleepless beat-driven summer nights. As one of the most highly-regarded clubs in the world, to play the Amnesia Terrace is a privilege and a lifelong ambition for many a DJ. It is a place where the world’s greatest provide the soundtrack for mind-blowing clubbing experiences every night of the week. And this year it’s our turn to step up.

For 16 weeks from 09 June to 22 September, Defected In The House will host the infamous Terrace at Together’s Amnesia residency, whose hugely successful 2014 witnessed a series of mammoth parties featuring dozens of the biggest names in electronic music. This year, Defected In The House & Together bring festival-sizes lineups to Amnesia each and every week, as the club plays host to a breathtakingly impressive range of DJs and live acts.  


Back in April when the residency was announced, Simon Dunmore said that the Terrace at Amnesia is “built for clubbers, pure and simple” and that Defected “intend to make it our house this season". With the recently announced scale of talent on show – both at the Opening Party and over the next three months – we’re confident that anyone who comes to Amnesia on Tuesday will be simply blown away.

And so, to the Opening Party – a night on which the projected fortunes of season-long residencies are often judged by the Ibiza faithful. Luckily, we’ve got a line-up that’s more than capable of delivering the goods.  

Onto the Terrace we welcome MK, Oliver Dollar, Noir, Sam Divine, Sonny Fodera, Franky Rizardo and of course Simon Dunmore. Not to be outdone, Together welcome season residents Chase & Status for the start of what promises to be another all-conquering residency, alongside Sigma, Andy C and GotSome in the Main Room

Ahead of the night, here’s a brief rundown of what to expect from our Terrace headliners and the kind of bombs you can expect them to be dropping. 

MK


Legendary house producer with a magic touch in the studio and a staggeringly impressive career. Expect fierce basslines, soaring vocals and everything in between. 


OLIVER DOLLAR


Berlin born and based producer and DJ with a habit of cooking up insanely catchy club cuts without ever losing sight of the dancefloor. Instrumental in the success of Defected In The House at Booom last season. 


NOIR


Firmly established in the A-list of house artists and a lifelong champion of the 4/4 beat. A set from Noir exudes passion, energy and above all, quality: he is simply one of the best DJs out there. 


SAM DIVINE


The people’s champion: from Café Mambo, and Booom by way of Pacha and Ushauaia, Sam Divine embodies the Ibiza musical spirit like no other. Sam lives and breathes house music and this year will see her rise even further in the ranks. 


SONNY FODERA


One of the most prolific recording artists in house music, Sonny Fodera is a superstar in the making. Everything he touches in the studio turns to gold, and he’s no slouch behind the decks either.



FRANKY RIZARDO


A Dutch master craftsmen who has taken Ibiza – and the wider world – by storm in recent years. Another key player for Defected in Ibiza and a ferociously talented one at that.  

SIMON DUNMORE


The Don. The Big Dog. The man who started it all. After 14 season with Defected Ibiza and a life lived in house music, no one is more qualifies to usher in the dawn of a new era for Amnesia.
