In the week that sees the release of Cuebur’s debut artist album, For Headz Only, on Soul Heaven Records, the South African artist picks out some of his current favourite records, two of which appear on the LP.

This was actually the song that got me into house music. A friend of mine DJ Xola came with the record one day and played it to me, and I was hooked.
Rocco – Awakening
When I was still progressing with house music production, Rocco had just released this wonderful tune. It made me realise I had to go back to the drawing board and pull my socks up. Wonderful production and a very inspirational song for me at the time.
Andyboi - Emhlabeni
A song I produced for my friend and colleague Andyboi, taken from his debut album Trail Evolution. A great song to perform live.

The day that Grammy nominee Vikter Duplaix said yes to collaboration with me, I was surprised. That's when I knew that anything is possible. One of the great highlight of my career.

This was so much fun to be involved in. It was a big collab for Kid Fonque's album, which started with me and him and then everyone was involved. New School rapper Okmalumkoolkat, Soul Singer Andyboi and our UK connection Jonny and he did his own VIP of the original which finally came out here.
