Daft Punk will not be playing at Glastonbury, it has emerged.

Rumours had begun spreading across the web that the French pair – Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter – would be heading to Somerset this summer.

But now Emily Eavis has put the kibosh on such talk.

Tweeting at being asked whether the pair are playing, she replied: “They might be doing other stuff but they're not playing here. Onwards....”.

However, a fourth album is coming from the Punks, the first release since their soundtrack for 'Tron Legacy'.

It's thought that it will be released in April or May through Columbia Records, but as ever, there's little other information to go on, other than it may feature a collaborations with Nile Rodgers from Chic, Chilly Gonzales and Giorgio Moroder.
