French Circo Loco resident Dan Ghenacia has been confirmed as curator for the first release in Ministry Of Sound’s new compilation series Sound Of The City.

The new series aims to convey the ‘golden era’ dance sounds of cities from all over the world – Ghenacia’s double-disc outing focuses on late Nineties Paris, gathering classic tracks by Mood II Swing, Soldiers Of Twilight, Crispin J Glover, Gemini and Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez; not to mention local talents DJ Deep, Krikor and Phil Weeks.

Ghenacia first came to prominence during the Nineties, thanks to a ‘boutique’ residency at Parisian den The Batofar which he used to push through some of the underground dance sounds starting to grip France’s European neighbours.

Sound Of The City – Dan Ghenacia’s Paris is released on May 16.
