Self-proclaimed ‘youth and pop culture provocateurs’ Dazed & Confused have partnered with terrestrial Brit TV broadcaster Channel 4 for a new music documentary series starting next month.

Music Nation aims to explore British youth culture across everything from key influencers to fashion and music according to five prominent underground club scenes – UK garage, Balearic, hardcore punk, jungle and Bristol bass.  Dazed devotes one 30 minute episode to each scene, using personal stories and a variety of archive material to tell its various stories.  Episodes will be made available on Dazed Digital (www.dazeddigital.com) immediately after their late-night Channel 4 broadcasts.

Music Nation kicks off on April 3 (0.05am) with ‘Brandy & Coke’, which focuses on the rise and demise of UK garage as directed by scene photographer and author Ewen Spencer.  Contributors include Kano, EZ and Ashley Walters (formerly So Solid Crew’s Asher D; today, a successful TV actor).  Further info at www.channel4.com/programmes/music-nation
