Venerable house DJ and producer Dave Seaman will release a new digital record label, Selador, next month alongside fellow UK vet Steve Parry.
Selador’s first release will be Birmingham artist samu.l’s Restless Dreams, a groove-heavy house cut backed by remixes from Shall Ocin and Seaman himself. The track is released on April 15.
That will be followed by a revolutionary new Kickstarter-funded compilation concept, Selador asking fans and followers to pledge money towards the completion of the label’s first mix album. Various ‘rewards’ will be offered according to the level of donation, including signed copies of the final CD, VIP nights out and even a Seaman-hosted house party.
Seaman is no stranger to the compilation market, pioneering (as former Editor) Mixmag’s first legally-available mix album, as well as contributing to renowned compilation brands Renaissance and Global Underground.
