DJ Tiesto has used Twitter to dispel wild reports that he died in a car crash earlier this week.
The internet has been going crazy this week following reports by a number of established news websites claiming that the superstar spinner had flipped his car whilst on California’s Interstate 80, allegedly over the speed limit and under the influence of alcohol. He was supposedly pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The news sparked a flurry of emotional fan tributes online but doubts were quickly raised when details emerged that Tiesto was, in fact, in Ibiza at the time of the incident.
Tiesto subsequently Tweeted at 10am, July 7: “It’s nice to read that people care about my life. Thank you for all the support. It’s good to be alive and to get so much love from you xx.”
