This May, Defected will make its major debut at Detroit’s renowned Movement Festival, bringing with it a heavyweight line-up for its 2023 edition.
In collaboration with Kevin Saunderson’s imprint KMS Records, the festival's Stargate Stage will present the man himself Kevin Saunderson alongside Dantiez, Adam Port, KiNK, Ash Lauryn, Melé, Rimarkable and Sam Divine for a day of house excellence.
House heads from across the globe will once again descend upon Detroit, the mecca of techno, to be treated to 3 days of expert curation on Memorial Day Weekend (May 27-29, 2023) at Detroit’s Hart Plaza.
“Movement Detroit represents the beating heart of the house and techno music scene, with a rich legacy of pioneering artists and innovators who have pushed the boundaries of electronic music. It's a celebration of the culture, creativity, and community, and Defected is honoured to be a part of the incredible event alongside Kevin Saunderson's KMS Records. We cannot wait to showcase the power of house music on such a legendary stage, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this iconic festival.” - George Pritchard, Director of Events & Talent at Defected.
Since its inception, Movement has been dedicated to delivering a completely unique experience to Detroit with a focus on showcasing authentic and diverse line-ups that are purely about the music and culture. The 2023 line-up continues to showcase the festival’s wide range in programming, featuring an inspired selection of dance music’s most celebrated artists, underground mainstays, and notable rising stars - a potent blend of seasoned vets and future generations of electronic music.
