Defected In The House hosts stage at the UK’s newest electronic music festival
We ARE FSTVL is the UK’s newest electronic music festival, taking place at a brand new venue on the outskirts of London. Already boasting over 100 acts across 10 bespoke arenas, Defected In The House takes control of their own stage on the day, with further stages helmed by the likes of Cocoon Heroes, Kehakuma, Crosstown Rebels and Secretsundaze.
A brand new 15,000 capacity dance event, We Are FSTVL is bringing together some of the world’s leading club brands and labels in a remarkable setting. Taking place on Saturday 25th May 2013, the inaugural festival will play host to over 100 acts across 10 stages and arenas over one spectacular day.
The artists playing the Defected In The House stage represent the core musical values the label. Noir is undoubtedly one of the greatest talents in the industry, as evidenced by the continuing prominence of his Noir Music imprint and in-demand DJ appearances, and has also recently mixed the latest edition of Defected’s In The House series, out later this month. Flashmob had an incredible 2012 following the runaway success of Need In Me, while Copyright have seen recent success of their own, with latest single Lifted remaining in the Traxsource Top 10 six weeks after its release.
Following the much-discussed signing of their latest record It's You earlier this year, FCL are welcomed to play for Defected In The House for the first time. Rarely has a record generated as much attention as It's You and big things are expected from it at this year’s Miami WMC and into Ibiza.
Completing the line-up are Hot Since 82 and Sam Divine. The rise to prominence of Hot Since 82 has been startling while his remix of Yousef’s Beg was a late contender for house remix of 2012. Sam Divine meanwhile continues to champion the very best house music all over the world, from her residency at Ibiza’s Ushuaia to gigs in Budapest, Sao Paulo and beyond.
The artists on the Defected In The House stage join some of the biggest names in electronic music, including Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Rudimental, DJ Sneak, Damian Lazarus, Dixon, Kerri Chandler, Eats Everything and MK to name but a few.
We Are FSTVL will also be placing a significant emphasis on production to create an unrivalled festival experience. Expect to see an arena made entirely out of shipping containers, a 2,000 capacity beach arena inspired by a tiki paradise and a secret crop circle rave, each with its own set of LED video walls, state of the art lasers and Funktion One Sound systems.
