The Classic Music Company label boss releases his anticipated compilation on Defected, out Friday 28th of July.

Luke Solomon’s latest contributions to two of 2022’s most anticipated albums, from Beyoncé and Honey Dijon, are a testament of his technical prowess as an artist, and the upcoming, coveted compilation places Luke alongside legends Frankie Knuckles, Masters at Work and DJ Gregory, presenting a musical journey of un-edited and un-mixed tracks from the producer’s illustrious three-decade career.

“The honour of being able to stand alongside peers and legends is something that I had never pre-meditated. As a number one fan of many of these great house music legends, I still remain a number one fan boy - so to be considered worthy of the Defected House Masters accolade is an absolute joy and privilege.” Luke Solomon

From his ground-breaking work as part of the legendary Powerdance collective, ‘A Safe & Happy Place’, to his work with Justin Harris as Freaks, with their single ‘The Creeps’ catapulting them into the UK charts, Luke’s earlier works span the spectrum from warm, deep grooves to boisterous dark room techno.

Recent remixes made alongside long-time collaborator and trailblazer Honey Dijon feature alongside fresh originals, including the expertly crafted funk house release with Detroit icon Amp Fiddler, ‘Come On Over’. No matter what moniker he produces under on this unmissable collection, Luke Solomon always showcases his raw talent - earning his spot as a Defected House Master.

Defected presents House Masters – Luke Solomon is out via Defected on 28 July 2023. The four-track sampler is available to pre-order now.
