At the beginning of May, we announced our collaboration with Point Blank Music School to bring you unique opportunities provided by Defected’s world-class DJs and A&R team. Taught at Point Blank's brand new London recording studios, with international artists including Copyright, Man Without A Clue and main man Simon Dunmore, you'll learn how to create tracks using Ableton Live 9 as well as mixing with vinyl, CD and digital platforms.
Our own musical output is characterised by consistent quality, sustained by producers who are dedicated to perfecting technical skill and musicianship. Alongside that, our whole team feels a commitment to passing on their expertise, putting together a series of sample libraries and DJ tools for aspiring producers to use.
This month there are two new editions in the Defected Sample Packs series by visionary house musician Rogue D. They follow previous packs from Franky Rizardo, Copyright and Shovell that have all received five star feedbacks from DJs across the board. ‘Detroit Alliance’ is out now and ‘Driven House’, is available from May 26 at Loopmasters, Traxsource and Beatport. The royalty free sample packs consist of multiple loops, basslines and pads – all you need and more to create deep down and Defected house music.
Also, there’s Defected Accapella – our series of vocal sampling packs that’s now into its thirteenth edition. ‘Defected Accapellas Deluxe Volume 13’ features accapellas from Sonny Fodera 'Feeling U', Kings of Tomorrow 'Burn So Deep', Jose Burgos 'Everyday', Lovebirds 'Holdin On', Miguel Migs 'What Do You Want' and many more.
