Located in East London’s Shoreditch, the Samsung Galaxy Shoreditch Studio will be transformed into a 1990s-themed vinyl record store, re-worked for the digital age. Launching Thursday 24th October we will be taking over the space for two weeks, during which time fans will be able to experience the label’s music like never before.

In addition to demonstrating the latest Samsung technology, the main focus of the collaboration is a ‘digital vinyl experience’ that aims to recreate the feeling of walking into a vinyl record store, bringing you the chance to experience Defected Records using the exclusive Shoreditch Studio Vinyl Record player.

There will also be a bespoke ‘I Am Defected’ creator that will create personalised ‘I Am Defected’ photos for fans to take away and share online. Competitions will be taking place throughout the two weeks, with opportunities to win tickets to Defected In The House at Ministry of Sound on both 2nd November and New Year’s Eve.

Finally, there will be several live events over the course of the two weeks. Simon Dunmore will be DJing on the official opening (24th October), followed by Defected taking over the Mixmag Lab – who will be broadcasting live from the studio – the following day, with Yousef, Nick Curly and Sam Divine providing the soundtrack. A pre-party to the Defected In The House party will follow on Saturday 2rd November, which will a set from Noir, with more DJs and further live events to be confirmed nearer the time.

Further details will be released over the coming weeks.
