Following the announcement of our Unsung Heroes 2022 winners, we are excited to announce that all seven DJs will feature in a special takeover on Defected Broadcasting House this Thursday.

A search for talent unlike any other, Unsung Heroes was all about recognising the vital part resident DJs play in the makeup of clubland, giving recognition to those that over the years have contributed to their local music scenes. Our winners were handpicked by an all-star panel, marking the beginning of Defected's pledge to nurture and spotlight future talent.

Kickstarting a summer of opportunities, we thought it best our winners introduce themselves to the Defected family with an hour-long set on our 24/7 broadcast channel. This Thursday 26th May all seven DJs will feature on Defected Broadcasting House from 2pm to 8pm for The Unsung Heroes Winners Showcase, each delivering an hour-long set of carefully curated tracks and their unique spinning style.

You can catch Inda Jani experimenting with indie dance tracks and deep house tunes, Angela Rose's fusion of afro and deep house, and Paige Tomlinson who is sure to get you moving with her unique selections of house, techno, breakbeat and anything on the underground spectrum. Manchester duo Mambo Brothers will also deliver an hour set, sure to create an electric vibe wherever you are.

Following that, Rio Tashan will deliver an hour of storming house tracks to get your heart pumping after DJ and radio presenter Melle Brown sets out to blur the lines between neo-soul, jazz and house. To round off the takeover, US selector Juliet Mendoza will use her hour to create a seamless blend of techno, disco and soul.

With such an eclectic selection of talent, the takeover is one not to be missed. Click here to watch The Unsung Heroes Winners Showcase live, or you can watch it back at any time on our YouTube channel.
