Launching in summer 2013, DFTD’s focus was on unearthing fresh, new and undiscovered talent from around the globe along with the occasional release from previously established acts. Following shows in Ibiza last year, the label now joins Eats Everything for his much-hyped residency, hosting the second room at London’s XOYO on Saturday 1st February.
Playing for DFTD on the night are Andy Daniell and Simon Morell. Andy Daniell recently played both Defected In The House New Year’s Eve shows at Ministry of Sound, London and The Astoria, Portsmouth, while Simon Morell recent played at the first of DFTD Never Alone party series in collaboration with Clash Magazine and Blood Brother, as well as appearing regularly at DFTD’s parties at The Ushuaia Tower, Ibiza last summer. Both are exceptionally talented DJs and are also responsible for the A&R of DFTD.
Eats Everything meanwhile welcomes DFTD-associated act Guti and Bristol’s Lukas to join him for his continued residency at the London venue.
With their residency series, XOYO aims to put the spotlight on the true art of DJing, with four residents taking 12 weeks each in 2014. First up is Eats Everything who’ll be joined by a long-line of friends, friends that also happen to be some of dance music’s biggest and best.
