On Monday 10th June, we are proud to host the inaugural DFTD party at The Ushuaia Tower, Ibiza. Featuring the unquestionable talents of KiNK, Osunlade, Noir, Sam Divine and Mo Funk plus a live PA from Rachel Row, the party aims to set the tone for what we anticipate will be one of the most talked-about new residencies on the White Isle.
Heading the Opening Party line is KiNK. The Bulgarian DJ and producer has released records on some of the world’s most respected labels (think Rush Hour, Liebe Detail, and Josh Wink’s Ovum) and is also the man behind one of the year’s most essential club records, Rachel Row’s ‘Follow The Step’. Undoubtedly the biggest track at this year’s Miami WMC, ‘Follow The Step’ is shaping up to be a huge Ibiza anthem, due in no small part to KiNK’s exquisite production. Fellow Bulgarian Rachel Row will be joining KiNK on the day to perform a live PA of her breakthrough record.
A multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer, DJ, painter, photographer and more, Osunlade is an artist in the truest possible sense of the word. His latest artist album A Man With No Past Originating The Future sees the Yoruba producer in reflective mood exploring his jazz and funk roots, and his house sets are renowned for drawing on a diverse range of influences. A DJ set from Osunlade is a rare event; one that once experienced is never forgotten.
Noir’s In The House mix collection was named Album of the Month and labelled “essential” by Mixmag, while his appearance for their Lab live stream alongside FCL was one of the most spectacular sessions of the series. Noir’s sets are always special – a fact to which anyone who saw him at Ministry of Sound back in April will testify – and the Danish artist undoubtedly has a game-changing summer ahead of him.
Complete the lineup are Sam Divine and Mo Funk. Sam Divine is unquestionably one of the most popular DJs on or off the White Isle. Last seen tearing up We Are FSTVL for Defected In The House, Sam was resident for Ushuaia last season so knows exactly what to do to make the place go wild. Mo Funk meanwhile is one of the most experienced and electric DJ in Ibiza, having held residencies at the island’s most prestigious venues including Space, Pacha and Café Mambo.
Situated besides the original Ushuaïa Beach Hotel, The Ushuaia Tower will play host to weekly DFTD parties from 10th June – 30th September. The season’s programme boasts a highly eclectic array of talent – as well as label and artist showcases from the likes of Objektivity, Noir Music, Yoruba Records, Pets Recordings, Classic Music Company, Dimitri From Paris and Krankbrother
