Grammy award-winning electronic dance trio Dirty Vegas – Paul Harris, Ben Harris and Steve Smith – will play a one-off London show next month to promote their comeback album Electric Love.
Dirty Vegas grabbed international recognition back in the early Naughties when they released their eponymous debut album (2002) and follow-up One (2004). The group stormed the US at a time when Americans were less than receptive to electronic dance music. In 2005, at the height of their popularity, Paul, Ben and Steve decided to take time out from Vegas and pursue solo projects; it was only in late 2009 that they started swapping ideas and demos again and agreed to re-launch the act.
Dirty Vegas’ London show - June 9 at the XOYO venue - is part of a 60-plus date world tour. It supports a third album which, with its boundary-less mix of up and downtempo songs, has already earning major plaudits since its launch late last month.
