Organisers of versatile French music festival Nuits Sonores have confirmed Apollonia and Dixon to play this year’s event.

Those cult house acts will appear as part of Nuits Sonores’ daytime schedule, joined by Daniel Avery, Gold Panda, Ten Walls and Andy Votel; not to mention Jon Rust, Kode 9, Optimo, Golden Teacher, Dum Dum Girls, Disappears and former Sonic Youth player Lee Ranaldo.  Details of the festival’s evening parties, as well as a full schedule of daytime lectures, workshops and demonstrations, are still to be revealed.

Nuits Sonores 2014 will run May 28 to June 1 in various venues around French city Lyon.  The festival, now in its 12th year, is renowned for mixing club, indie and leftfield sounds; this year’s event will also present a specific strand of programming on Glasgow’s musical scene, as well as a wider cultural programme of films, art events and food exhibitions.
