Innervisions sage Dixon has stepped up to mix the latest compilation outing for Offenbach club Robert Johnson this September.
Live At Robert Johnson Volume 8 builds from a sweep of ambient, mellow cuts by the likes of Ursula Bogner and Hauschka, before stepping up the 4-4 pace with contributions from Agoria, Mark E, Osunlade and flamboyant disco devil Todd Terje.
Dixon has been resident DJ for Robert Johnson (housed in a lakeside building with separate club MTW just outside of Frankfurt) for a number of years now but this new mix comp will represent his last, as well as that for the club itself. Dixon intends to focus on Innervisions and his own solo club work; whilst Robert Johnson is looking at new un-mixed album projects and a series of EPs and singles.
The Live At Robert Johnson series – released by the club’s eponymous imprint – has previously welcomed special guests Prins Thomas and Roman Flugel.
