DJ Sprinkles is to drop a new mix album called Where Dancefloors Stand Still.

The enigmatic producer Terre Thaemlitz has been living in Japan since 2001, and has compiled the album as a reaction to a recent tightening of licensing laws governing nightclubs.

Japanese authorities have begun enforcing historic legislation dating back to the 40s, meaning that clubs have a curfew of 1am.

This new set, a blend of fine deep house music, will be released on Mule Musiq, the label that brought his Midtown 120 Blues album in 2009.
