As the legend goes...cursed by voodoo magic, Drums Of Death has no heart - instead, a broken drum machine rests impatiently within his ribcage. He has no face – instead a macabre mask resembling a deranged clown. His music is similarly touched by otherworldliness and darkness, careering between bass-heavy electro and indefinable allusions to rave of the past, all topped off with his possessed, powerful vocals. There’s no better guest to usher in a Halloween weekend than this musical Frankenstein.
His material for London label Greco-Roman has been amongst the most incendiary in electronic music of recent years, he’s produced tracks for Peaches’ most recent album, and now his debut album Generation Hexed has confirmed what we suspected for a while now – that he’s one of most unique, diverse and exciting talents in electronic music right now. This is a fantastic chance to catch one of his raucous live sets in this intimate venue.
