Independent Label Market: 26th Nov, Old Spitalfields Market, London

DStore Pop-up: 28th Nov – 4th Dec, Unit 26, Boxpark Shoreditch

Defected presents 4 To The Floor with Sam Divine & Luke Solomon: 1st Dec, Boxpark Shoreditch

Just in time for your Christmas shopping, Defected is hitting the streets this November to bring you all the good stuff direct from our online DStore. We are setting up shop first at the Christmas installment of the Independent Label Market, then at Boxpark Shoreditch, stocked up with a tonne of your favourite merch plus exclusive brand new tees, sweatshirts and of course, CDs and vinyl.

The Independent Label Market at Old Spitalfields Market in London provides a unique opportunity for us to dig through our archives and pull out vinyl gems, stacks of our bestselling House Masters CDs and those classics that we didn’t realise we had still knocking about. We join a host of our fellow indies including Acid Jazz, Anjunabeats, Domino, Erased Tapes, Hospital, Kitsuné, Mute, Ninja Tune, Rough Trade, Stones Throw and Transgressive for a marketplace that more than satisfies all your crate-digging needs. Not to mention we will be joined by the London Brewers’ Market, presenting a selection of local breweries from London’s craft beer scene. Saturdays don’t get much better!

The following week, the DStore pop-up at Boxpark returns and this time it’s all about iconic house music labels both past and present. The one week pop-up at Boxpark Shoreditch, running from Monday 28th November – Sunday 4th December, will be stocked up with official label t-shirts, sweatshirts and music from Defected and the brand’s inspirational 4 To The Floor range, which celebrates an enviable collection of independent record labels.

Most recently featured in Mixmag, 4 To The Floor apparel is a limited edition range. Usually available exclusively at the DStore, the t-shirts and new sweatshirts available at the Boxpark store are official merchandise from Fourth Floor, Azuli, Freeze Records, Sleeping Bag Records, Slip ‘N’ Slide, Streetwise, Sub-Urban, Yoruba, Classic Music Company, D-Vine Sounds and Glitterbox Recordings.

The store will also be fully stocked up with plenty of vinyl gems – brand new and from the archives – from 4 To The Floor labels like Fourth Floor, Classic Music Company and Yoruba, allowing customers to dig for rare LPs and discover new ones.

On Thursday 1st December Defected will also be throwing a free 4 To The Floor party at the Boxpark event space with DJs from two of the 4 To The Floor labels. Sam Divine of D-Vine Sounds and Luke Solomon of Classic Music Company will be supplying the beats, plus there will be drinks courtesy of Desperados. When Classic and D-Vine Sounds get down to business it’s always a great time and judging by how previous Boxpark X Defected events have gone off, this is going to be big.
