Electric Daisy Carnival, one of America’s biggest dance festival organisers, has partnered with Cream to present a one-off UK festival in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Performers will include Tiesto, Avicii, Steve Angello, Alesso, Hardwell, Madeon, as well as drum & bass don Goldie, quick-mix BBC Radio 1 talent Jaguar Skills, dubsteppers Caspa and Rusko, and Shy FX. There’s also stage space for feisty Italian Crookers and BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Mistajam.
The one-day EDM-focused event, scheduled for Saturday, July 20 (2-11pm), promises one main stage and three arenas, all backed by world-class audio and visual production, as well as a full-on carnival experience. As such party-goers can also expect carnival rides, contemporary art installations and a huge cast of costume-clad dancers, acrobats and support performers.
London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is currently being converted from the original London 2012 Olympic Park – based in Stratford, east London – and, whilst open to the public this summer, will be fully finished come spring 2014.
