Speedy J’s infamous techno party Electric Deluxe has confirmed three big European dates this spring.
The first event – the first of three back-to-back ‘April Weekender’ nights – takes place April 27 at the D! Club in Lausanne, Switzerland, with J playing alongside Phil Kieran; Electric Deluxe hits the Electric Brixton in London 24 hours later, J part of a line-up featuring Berghain powerhouses Marcel Dettmann and Marcel Fengler, and Sandwell District live; the final bash, April 29 at Amsterdam’s cultural centre Melkweg, offers Dettmann, Giorgio Gigli, Hans Bouffmyhre and, of course, J.
Electric Deluxe – the name, also, of J’s cult techno label – started out in Amsterdam in 1999 and has grown steadily bigger; over the years, special guests have included Luke Slater, Gary Beck, Jeff Mills and Richie Hawtin.
