Two of clubland’s biggest annual festivals, Electric Elephant and Melt!, have confirmed major additions to their existing summer line-ups.

Detroit deity Derrick May and New York colossus Francois K will join Electric Elephant at The Garden Tisno in Rovinj, Croatia during its July 10-14 run.  May hits nearby ‘afterhours’ venue Barbarellas on July 10, whilst K drops a special six-hour beach-themed set at the main site on July 13.  K also plays Barbarellas on July 9 for a special The Garden Festival vs Electric Elephant mash-up – The Garden Festival runs July 2-9 in the same location and with a similar focus on quality underground club sounds.

Elsewhere, Melt! takes place July 18-20 in German city Grafenhainichen at open-air industrial museum Ferropolis.  Paul Kalkbrenner, Royksopp, Metronomy, Moderat, Ame, Dixon and Ellen Allien are among those already announced; now Nicolar Jaar’s DARKSIDE, Four Tet and Pantha Du Prince are confirmed to join them, not to mention SBTRKT, George FitzGerald, John Talabot, Tale Of Us, DVS1 and electronica-lined indie-rockers Bombay Bicycle Club.
