After yet another mind-blowing show in June, Defected In The House returns to Ministry of Sound for the second in our series of summer parties at the London clubbing institution.

The lineup for Saturday 17th at Ministry of Sound is indicative of our current musical policy, with a nod to the history of the label while undoubtedly looking to the future with fresh and upcoming new talent.

Sandy Rivera has little left to prove in a career that has been littered with moments of genius, yet continues to perform at the very top of his game with a level of consistency that is unparalleled. ‘Fall For You’ under his Kings of Tomorrow moniker and alongside regular collaborator April – who will perform a live PA on the night –  has become the soulful anthem of the year so far, while records like the seminal ‘Finally’ and the more recent ‘Show Me’ have demonstrated time and again that Rivera is almost without equal in the studio. His DJ sets are always uplifting and packed full of surprises, so if you’re yet to see this house master in action, this is the perfect opportunity.

San Soda and Red D – collectively known as FCL – have had a whirlwind few months. From the well-documented hype surrounding their infamous ‘It’s You’ – recently vioted as one of the best dance tracks of the year so far by renowned music magazine SPIN – to electrifying performances at We Are FSTVL and for Mixmag’s The Lab series, they have fast become one of the most talked about duos on the scene. On the 17th they will be accompanied by ‘It’s You’ vocalist Lady Linn, who adds an entirely new dimension to what is already a scintillating DJ show.

Brigton’s Maxxi Soundsystem has made a huge impression in a relatively short space of time. Well-received tracks and remixes for the likes of Nurvous, Permanent Vacation, Ellum Audio and Hypercolour – the last of which was remixed by the legendary Matthew Herbert – have established himself as a true original, with his deep, pulsing basslines often married with melancholy vocals striking a chord with clubland’s many devotees. With a further collaboration with Name One coming on Defected Records later this month, now is the time to see this electrifying DJ in action.

No Artificial Colours are Ryan Ellis and Lewis Wright, 2 friends hailing from South East London, fast becoming an ever-more dominant force in the UK's house music scene. Their first EP only dropped in late spring 2011, since when they have rarely been absent from dance sites' download charts and record boxes of the DJ elite and recently appeared on BBC Radio 1 as part of Pete Tong’s ‘Future Stars’ feature.

Finally, we’re proud to welcome our Ibiza 2013 season residents Sonny Fodera and Sam Divine to London, bringing with them a little slice of the White Isle. Fodera’s debut album was released on Cajmere’s highly influential Cajual Records earlier this year, while Sam Divine’s residency at Ushuaia, Ibiza for the third year running has proved once again that she is one of the most popular and party-minded house DJs on the circuit.

Always intent on bringing the very finest house music to London’s most iconic club, Defected In The House at Ministry of Sound is guaranteed to sell-out, so book your ticket early to avoid disappointment.
