On Tuesday 31st December, we bring an exceptional array of house talent - from established legends to fast-rising stars of the scene - to the South Coast for our first ever New Year’s Eve party in Portsmouth.

Portsmouth has a long-established house scene and we are delighted to be hosting this final party of the year at the city’s Astoria venue with Amplified Sessions, who stage many of the South’s leading nights.
2013 has been an exceptional year for Defected In The House; this year’s season of events at London’s iconic Ministry of Sound has been a well-documented success, and from We Are FSTVL to Lakedance in Holland via Ibiza and Miami, Defected In The House has shown the way across the global house scene; this party promises to surpass even the highest of expectations generated this year.
Following his Defected Ibiza appearances at Booom!, joining us for New Year’s Eve is one of the most highly-regarded house music artists of all time; Derrick Carter. His flawless technical ability and party-minded sets places him amongst the very finest in the world. Expect a set of loop-heavy, disco influenced, party house from the Classic co-founder, infiltrated by the intricate and unique productions and remixes that are instantly recognisable as his own.
Next up, Mannheim’s Nick Curly will be bringing his trademark rolling, tech-heavy beats to Portsmouth. His debut album Between the Lines was released by Defected earlier this year and came with compliment of stunning remixes from Dennis Ferrer, Mr. Fingers and more.
2013 has been a breakthrough year for Sonny Fodera. With a season-long Ibiza residency boasting gigs at Booom!, the Ushuaia Tower and DC10, together with singles releases on Defected and a debut album released on Cajmere’s highly influential Cajual Records, having already built a loayl following Sonny’s star is most definitely rising.
Defected A&R and resident DJ, Andy Daniell, completes the New Year’s Eve line-up, guaranteeing nothing less than top-class house vibes.
