Preparations for the 11th instalment of EXIT, Serbia’s sprawling dance and electronica-geared music festival, are well under way, with the first major acts confirmed this week.
The Chemical Brothers will headline, offering one of only a handful of festival dates this summer. Fellow headliners include Brit synth-rock outfit Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Canadian electro-experimentalists Crystal Castles, Mika and Royksopp.
EXIT’s huge 25,000 capacity dance arena will house Josh Wink, Erol Alkan, Moderat (a special live performance,) and minimalist kingpin Ricardo Villalobos; not to mention DJ Medhi, Boys Noize and exuberant hip-house Italians Crookers – ones to watch this year, without a doubt.
EXIT, running July 8-11, is situated at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, northern Serbia, and will announce more major names shortly. Check http://eng.exitfest.org for booking details; book before June for a discounted rate.
