Institutional London nightclub fabric has confirmed a unique collaboration with major British art gallery Tate Britain and the University of the Arts London.

Taking place June 7, fabric’s special Late At Tate Britain event – a free event - will blend music, fashion, installation art and live debate, all tied to the theme of ‘chronology’.

As such fabric Musical Director Craig Richards – a well-known art lover and part-time painter – has been confirmed to DJ, promising ‘a musical take on the future’. Lee Gamble, a regular with Berlin-based experimental electronic imprint PAN, also plays, presenting a one-off show specially created for the event.

Elsewhere, Eglo Records’ Alexander Nut goes back-to-back with Rinse FM selector Josey Rebelle, covering bass, beat and groove-heavy licks from the last five decades.

The showcase, also including ‘Sound Art’ by Mark Peter Wright (one sound work a response to Damien Hirst’s 1991 piece The Acquired Inability to Escape), real-time projections of imagery and light (by artist Jae Huh) and an organised clothes swap, starts 6pm; running until 9.30pm.
